Writers' holiday dinner

Last night I had the pleasure of going to a Philadelphia writers' holiday dinner. As i mingled with those who shared my passion, I was amazed at the talent. First, I met Joshua Piven, the author of the "Worst Case Scenario" book series. He even bought me a drink, though not intentionally at first. His humor and personality really show in his books. I've read a couple of them and you can really see where his line of thinking originates. Then I got to meet Jonathan Maberry. I've been a fan of his work with Marvel comics as well as a couple of his novels. He was a very easy person to talk to and genuinely had interest in those around him. His wife was a sweetheart in the most respectful way, and I regret not having more time to speak with them; though he does want me to send him the link to my novels, so here is to keeping my fingers crossed that he likes it. all in all I had an amazing time with many amazing writers and look forward to the next gathering.

Stay tuned!!! The Second graphic novel is on its way, this fall... Nearing completion, this will be comprised of 10 short stories involving vampires. Including veteran sCrypt comics artists as well as a few new additions... At the same time, the first three books in the Flesh and Leftovers novel series are being rereleased as a trilogy. In addition to the original novels are the novelized versions of the comic book stories as well as 3 new short stories and an extensive timeline of the events. SPRINGing into action

Hey everyone, here is a quick springtime update from yours truly. Graphic novel #2 is underway and is called "Blood, The Second Helping: Legends of Vampire" based on my second novel. I am finishing storyboards at the moment and writing with my brother Dan who is taking a bigger part in this second one... I love the ideas he brings to the table... Also, I'm in the works of book 4 of the F&L series entitled "Souls 4 Supper." In addition to that novel I'm working on my first non fiction book about arguments... It takes a look at the most common arguments, some fun and some controversial and allows the reader to see an unbiased view of both sides. "Heads or Tails: An Unbiased Look at Both Sides of The Argument" is a long title but appropriate... It also will be a sort of autobiography of sorts where I introduce each chapter with a bit of humor from my personal life... It will be a very funny read and may help you decide which point in an argument you'll take... Finally, I am moving on in music to my solo career once again... Between giving various music lessons and my writing it was time to get away from the cover songs and back into my own style of originals and covers with just me on acoustic and singing... who knows, maybe I'll have a guest star now and then with me... Loads of updates

Hey everyone! This is a huge long overdue update and there will be more to follow in the coming weeks... First off Music: - My band Resistance is gearing up to do more gigs than the one a month we are currently doing. We are also having a female come in for a few songs just to switch up the sound a little. - On another note, I miss playing original music, so I have decided to start gigging as an acoustic solo project. I'm doing a mix of my own music as well as some really great covers with just me on vocals and guitar... I'll also be heading into the studio soon for an acoustic album. Secondly Comic Book: - I'm still awaiting my first copy of the Graphic novel, but the artists are as excited as I am and we have our issue in stores and online very soon. - As soon as this is finalized, then we begin work on the second Graphic Novel. Finally Book news: - "Bones At Breakfast" (Book 3 in the Flesh and Leftovers saga) is complete and submitted to the publisher. Release date for www.lulu.com is February 15th, so its just under a week away! - Work has begun on book 4, called "Souls 4 Supper" - my next release will be a non fiction book that is sure to be entertaining. It has yet to get a final title, but it will be an unbiased look at both sides of arguments. There are some serious topics, but many fun ones as well, so it should appeal to everyone. Long needed update

Hey everyone, sorry for the lack in updates, I've been super busy lately, but all for the greater good. Here's the scoop: I am working with my brother and nine other artists on a spinoff of my first novel... It will be called "Flesh And Leftovers: Zombie Incidents"... This is entirely new for me because it will be the artists' interpretations of storyboards I give them and will be done in graphic novel (comic book) form... I plan on having it finished in the next few weeks as it is almost complete... My band held its first gig two weeks ago, and the response was astounding so I'll be working on getting some form of audio up online soon... And work on book 3 "Bones At Breakfast" is going well... Tenative release date is early February. I'll be updating in a week or so definitely about the progress of the comic project... Ciao for now, and keep rockin'!!! Rick

Book and Music status

Hey folks, it's been a busy couple months for me, so I apologize for the lack of updates. I have a new addition to the family. As of May 18th, Antonio Richard Pipito came into this world, and he is as perfect as I could imagine. His big sister Lana loves him so much. As for music, our lead guitarist quit, so gigging was set back, but we restructured and reworked the set, so now we are back on track as a 4 piece instead of a 5 piece. The poetry book has been pushed back for the new addition to the "Flesh And Leftovers" saga. Book 2, "Blood, The Second Helping," should be available for purchase in hardback, softback, and digital download in late July or early August. Also, I am working on a sequel to that book and a new concept as well. Hey everyone, quick update... I just made it easier for everyone to read the short stories and things I'll be putting up... On the right if you click on my children's story "A Little Girl In the land of the Hiccups" under the novels and short stories section, it will take you to a page where you can download a PDF file of the story so that it is easier to read and print out... as always, I love the feedback, so please let me know what you think... Hey everyone, it's been awhile and I appologize, but much has been going on... I just finished my final edit on a new novel I've been writing. I have yet to announce what it is, but stay tuned for that... also, in my spare time I've been coming up with an acoustic set to do a few solo shows with guitar and vocals... I figured it would be something different and I may get a few different venues out of it... Sadly, our April 3rd gig at Le Coffee Salon in Hatboro is cancelled... Due to the economy, the coffee shop is closing indefinitely... On a more positive note, John and I finished mixing the 10 new tunes and will be posting them up online soon with some new bootleg copies of songs from some of our shows...

New baby, new year, new material

Hey everyone, sorry it's been a while, I have been MIA (although still playing gigs with John, just not having the chance to announce them.) On October 25th, 2008 my daughter Lana Rose Pipito was born. She is the cutest little princess that I'm sure will inspire new writings from me. Our Christmas show will be at Le Coffee Salon in Hatboro, PA on friday Dec 12th from 8-10 pm. There, John and I will be joined by Veronica on bass and John Weisbrot on Drums. And yes, there will be Christmas tunes (Our versions of course). Then we will return to the same venue on January 2nd for their first friday bash! We will alternate sets with a classical guitarist and play from 6-10 pm. Hope all is well. Have a Merry Christmas (or any other Holiday you celebrate) and a ROCKIN' NEW YEAR! Rick
