Writers' holiday dinner

Last night I had the pleasure of going to a Philadelphia writers' holiday dinner. As i mingled with those who shared my passion, I was amazed at the talent. First, I met Joshua Piven, the author of the "Worst Case Scenario" book series. He even bought me a drink, though not intentionally at first. His humor and personality really show in his books. I've read a couple of them and you can really see where his line of thinking originates. Then I got to meet Jonathan Maberry. I've been a fan of his work with Marvel comics as well as a couple of his novels. He was a very easy person to talk to and genuinely had interest in those around him. His wife was a sweetheart in the most respectful way, and I regret not having more time to speak with them; though he does want me to send him the link to my novels, so here is to keeping my fingers crossed that he likes it. all in all I had an amazing time with many amazing writers and look forward to the next gathering.

Eden's Order Trilogy

All three novels in the "Flesh and Leftovers: Eden's Order Trilogy" have been combined into one. sCrypt Comics is at it again!!!

Stay tuned!!! The Second graphic novel is on its way, this fall... Nearing completion, this will be comprised of 10 short stories involving vampires. Including veteran sCrypt comics artists as well as a few new additions... At the same time, the first three books in the Flesh and Leftovers novel series are being rereleased as a trilogy. In addition to the original novels are the novelized versions of the comic book stories as well as 3 new short stories and an extensive timeline of the events. My brother, Dan is also creating a new cover for the front, so be prepared to be scared this Halloween... Keep rockin' Rick

SPRINGing into action

Hey everyone, here is a quick springtime update from yours truly. Graphic novel #2 is underway and is called "Blood, The Second Helping: Legends of Vampire" based on my second novel. I am finishing storyboards at the moment and writing with my brother Dan who is taking a bigger part in this second one... I love the ideas he brings to the table... Also, I'm in the works of book 4 of the F&L series entitled "Souls 4 Supper." In addition to that novel I'm working on my first non fiction book about arguments... It takes a look at the most common arguments, some fun and some controversial and allows the reader to see an unbiased view of both sides. "Heads or Tails: An Unbiased Look at Both Sides of The Argument" is a long title but appropriate... It also will be a sort of autobiography of sorts where I introduce each chapter with a bit of humor from my personal life... It will be a very funny read and may help you decide which point in an argument you'll take... Finally, I am moving on in music to my solo career once again... Between giving various music lessons and my writing it was time to get away from the cover songs and back into my own style of originals and covers with just me on acoustic and singing... who knows, maybe I'll have a guest star now and then with me...
